Jesuit-Reductions, Rio Paraná, plantations, German
colonies and cities in the south, waterfalls ofIguazú, hydroelectric
power plant Itaipú, border city Ciudad del Este among other
day 1:
We leave very early in the morning and going to the most south located city Encarnación.
We visit the impressing Jesuit reductions of Trinidad
(Unesco "Cultural Heritage of the World"). Under the instruction of
Jesuit padres the native, the Guaranie Indians constructed in the middle of the former
impenetrable jungle, a huge construction with defense towers, protection walls,
cathedral and fix housings for 4000 Indians.
We stay in inearby located Hotel
Papillon in Bella Vista
Day 2:
Visit of a Yerba-Mate production in Bella Vista. Yerba is the national drink
of the Paraguayan and they drink it cold as Tereré or hot as Mate tea.
The colony of Bella Vista was founded since more then 100 years by German immigrants.
It is located directly at the shore of the third biggest river of the world,
the Rio Paraná. Enjoy the special flair of this area, which is marked for its
strong vegetation (also called banana belt) Here you find the most fertile
grounds and the most productive cultivation zone of soy and wheat in Paraguay …
We go to the a little bit hectic city Ciudad del Este, which is still in Paraguay,
cross the border Puente de la Amistad (friendships bridge) over the Rio Parana to
Brazil and arrive in Foz de Iguazú (Brazil). In the evening we visit the Churassceria
El Rafain, where you will have a typical dinner and will see a varied south American
live Show program.
We spend the night in Foz in the Hotel San Martin.
day 3:
After breakfast we will start to an unforgettable sightseeing tour.
At the morning we visit the biggest hydro electric power plant of the world,
Itaipú. The formation of this gigantic plant will be documented by a film.
Then a bus ride through the 8 km wide dam, with a guided tour through the huge
turbine hall inside the dam (if access is given)
A little bit later we visit
the noble address in this area, the Paraná Country Club
a closed club zone with golf court, hotels, supermarket, school, restaurants
and many spare time equipment. In this club live business men's and farmers,
who work in the triangle between Paraguay Brazil Argentine.
In the afternoon: we visit the
waterfall of Iguazú at the Argentinean side.
In the middle of the heavenly jungle Landscape you will enjoy the biggest
waterfalls of the world, the Cataratas del Igua-zú: . Picturesque footpath's
with inumerable motives to take pictures besides the falls. Nose-bears as
well as thousands of colorful butterflies, leguans and lizards will escort
you through this unique nature.
We will ride a small train through the terrain (price $ 13. facultative
and a boat trip which leads you directly at the edge of the so called
"devils throat" about $ 33. per person). Afterwards we visit the triangle
ParaguayBrazilArgentine and will spend the night at the hotel San Martin.
day 4:
After the breakfast another highlight for all lovers of animals and nature!
We visit the bird park which is located at around 4 ha big area in untouched
nature in big free pen. Close contact to toucans, parrots, giant butterflies
and numerous types of animals. Afterwards we visit the impressively waterfalls
of Iguazu at the Brazilian Side. Here wonderful panorama pictures are waiting
for you and a nature which could not be more opulent and impressive.

In the afternoon we start
the return trip to Asunción where we will arrive
at night.
